NATIONRFID Unveils RFID Reader Chip at Shanghai International IOTE IoT Expo
From November 15 to 17, 2022, IOTE 2022—the 18th International Internet of Things Exhibition—was held in Shenzhen. As one of China’s foremost rfid companies, NATIONRFID, a prominent supplier of RFID chips and modules, announced the successful launch of its independently developed and upgraded second-generation RFID reader chip, the GXR-02. This innovative chip is engineered for extensive application in sectors such as warehousing logistics, airline baggage management, port inspection, smart transportation, intelligent manufacturing, smart healthcare, new retail, and financial services.
Self-Developed Mid-to-High-End Chip Upgraded for More Scenarios
According to NATIONRFID’s General Manager, Wang Zhucheng, the GXR-02 represents a comprehensive upgrade over the first-generation reader chip. By integrating a high-performance microcontroller unit (MCU) and reducing its size to merely one-third of its predecessor, the new chip is optimized for a broader array of applications. Its compact design facilitates integration into diverse devices—including handheld terminals, printers, access control systems, cabinets, wearable devices, and even shared bicycles—thereby expanding its potential usage across numerous industries.
Remarkably, the GXR-02 is produced at only half the cost of the previous generation. Through refined design and innovative engineering, this chip achieves 100% domestic substitution compared to similar products offered by international brands, further solidifying NATIONRFID’s reputation as a leading rfid company.
At the press conference, Wang Zhucheng, General Manager of NATIONRFID, reaffirmed the company’s unwavering mission:
