    Project Challenges

    1. Worker Tracking: Workers move across different floors. It is hard to track their location and check their movement history.
    2. Access Permissions: Both internal staff and visitors have door-opening rights. The current system uses an infrared sensor that opens the door whenever someone passes by. There is a need to clearly separate the access permissions.
    3. Inefficient Door Operation: With sensor or normally closed doors, internal staff must often wait for front desk personnel to remotely open doors. An automatic access system can verify permissions instantly and reduce delays. For doors requiring card swiping, employees sometimes need to swipe multiple times when moving between floors. A modern system that includes an efficient rfid lock can simplify the process, saving time and reducing maintenance costs.
    4. High Labor Cost: Each floor’s reception must have staff working all the time, which increases labor costs.
    5. Outdated Visitor System: The current visitor system does not reflect a modern, high-tech image. Upgrading to a system that employs advanced access control and rfid lock technology can enhance security and improve the overall image of the organization.

    Case Overview

The customer has adopted NATIONRFID’s self-developed core RFID reader, supporting equipment, and a custom middleware service program. The system collects and writes basic employee information onto RFID UHF cards (used here for internal staff or VIP customers). Access permissions are set through the NATIONRFID smart access control management platform.

The NATIONRFID system controls door access in a linked way without damaging existing wiring. It directly connects to the original IC door access controller or the central management unit. The system takes over the original access control automatically. When an authorized internal employee passes through the door’s magnetic field, the RFID system checks the employee’s permission. It then responds by controlling various door locks, including the advanced rfid lock mechanism.

This process is seamless. Employees do not need to get very close to an IC card reader; they pass by without noticing. This frees their hands and shortens the time needed to pass through the door. The solution improves the experience of entering and exiting while giving management better control over access and the ability to track and monitor movement.

    Technical Features and Advantages

    1. The system automatically controls and manages internal staff access for the customer group. Detailed records of each floor’s door entries are saved, increasing cross-floor access speed by 99% with a reliable rfid lock system.
    2. It offers tracking for special cases, including monitoring employee movement paths and managing floor locations.
    3. It provides a prestigious experience for high-level customers and leaders when they move between floors. The installation is non-invasive.
    4. It does not change any wiring of the original door locks or the existing access control system, making upgrades quick and easy.
    5. During the transition period, when the original IC access system is still in use, the new system works in parallel to control the existing system.
    6. The customer group has reduced the workload of front desk staff and cut labor costs by more than 70%.
    7. The system supports remote unlocking and can remotely force the rfid lock to close.
    8. It includes a door access dashboard for better monitoring and management.
    9. The access control system assists with attendance management, providing reliable data for the administration department. It can also be customized to interface with an OA system through an open protocol.
    10. When the network is down, the rfid lock controller automatically opens and closes the door, ensuring continuous operation.
    11. The customer group has reduced incidents of employees working outside their designated areas by 98%, greatly boosting work efficiency.
